Marla Heinen was born on March 23, 1937, in Beloit, Kansas to Dean and Velma Reddick. She passed away on October 21, 2024, in Salina Kansas. She graduated from high school in Red Cloud Nebraska.

Marla was a lifetime member of the Trinity United Methodist Church where she participated in the church choir.

Marla was a loving and faithful wife of 38 years; she loved attending sports and activities of her 7 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

She was known for her famous pumpkin pie when celebrating special occasions.

Marla and her husband John loved to travel and went on several cruises and visited all 50 states. She owned and operated a clothing boutique in Red Cloud, Nebraska and later represented KATZ Corporation as a sales representative for the next 20 years. She and John retired to South Texas where she enjoyed living on the beach, aerobics, volunteering at the community center and entertaining winter Texans. Upon returning to Salina Kansas in 2022 Marla and John enjoyed reconnecting with friends and spending time with family.

Marla is survived by her husband John of the home and her stepdaughters Becky Jones, Salina Kansas, and Shelly Farha (Dan) Concordia Kansas, 7 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son Scot Mathew, her parents Dean and Velma Reddick and stepdaughter Roberta Huseman.

A Celebration of Life for Marla Heinen will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church in Salina, Kansas November 17th, at 4:00PM.
