Interview schedule announced for nominees to fill 28th district judge position

The 28th Judicial District Nominating Commission will convene at 9:30 am Wednesday, February 4 to interview the selected nominees to fill a district judge vacancy.

The judicial vacancy will be created when District Judge Paul Hickman retires May 1.

The 28th Judicial District is composed of Ottawa and Saline counties.

Interviews are open to the public and will take place at Saline County Courthouse (300 W Ash St.) in Salina.

The Nominating Commission consists of Justice K.J. Wall as the nonvoting chair; David Stanley, Bennington; Lance Cochran, Robert German, Donald Merriman, Christine Ritter, and Russel Prophet, Salina; and Kathy Luthi, Soloman.
