NWS updates storm forecast for Thursday evening

Strong to severe storms will be possible this evening and tonight mainly across central Kansas.

Isolated to scattered severe storms are possible across portions of central, south central, and southeast Kansas from late afternoon through tonight. The strongest storms will be capable 65 mph winds and nickel to quarter sized hail.

Isolated to scattered severe storms are possible across portions of central, south central, and southeast Kansas early Friday morning. The strongest storms will be capable 65 mph winds and nickel to quarter sized hail.

Periodic slight chances for thunderstorms will remain in the forecast Friday through Tuesday. The risk for organized severe storms is low, though isolated strong wind gusts and small hail will be possible with any storms.
