More than $900 worth of items were stolen from an unlocked pickup in central Salina earlier this week.
Aaron Chapman, 23, of Salina, told police that sometime between 3:40 p.m. Sunday and 4:20 p.m. Monday, someone entered his 2018 Chevrolet Silverado pickup that was parked in the 1100 block of Sunrise Drive and stole the following items, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester reported this morning.
A black 40 caliber Smith and Wesson Beretta SPA model APX handgun valued at $670
An Alien holster valued at $150
A magazine for the gun valued at $30
Two rings valued at $50
Some change
Chapman told police that he had returned from a trip and carried items into the residence, leaving the vehicle unlocked.
