
Edward Leroy Steinle, 93, of Salina, Kansas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.
Born in Bunker Hill, Kansas, on August 16, 1931, Edward was the son of Lydia Waymaster Steinle and David G. Steinle.
On October 24, 1954, Edward married the love of his life, Florene Casper Steinle. Together, they built a life rooted in love, and family.Edward was a man who never sat still for long. He proudly served in the United States Army for two years and later dedicated his career to numerous jobs, always keeping busy and lending a helping hand.
Edward was a lifelong member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church and a man of deep faith and quiet strength. He found joy in the simple pleasures—fishing, gardening, and cutting wood for the fireplace.
He was a devoted father, a caring brother, and a steadfast friend.He is survived by his wife, Florene; three sons: Edward Steinle, Jr. (Judy) of Salina, Kansas; David Steinle (Roxane) of Montana; and Troy Steinle of Derby, Kansas. He is also survived by his sister, Wilma Panzer of Lincoln, Kansas; grandchildren Jacob Steinle, Samuel Steinle, Josh Steinle, and Barbara German; and one great-grandchild, Aiden Steinle.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Kenneth Steinle; and his sister, Edith Aherns.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at Bavaria City Cemetery in Bavaria, Kansas, with Pastor Winterstein officiating.
The family requests that donations be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church, in care of Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home.
