Victor Raymond Schrader, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2024, in his hometown of Salina, Kansas. He was born on February 9, 1956, in Salina, KS, to Raymond and Ella Schrader, who preceded him in death.
Victor is survived by his devoted wife, Debra (Leighton) Schrader; his cherished children, Lori Killingsworth (Dylan), Joshua Schrader (Laura), and Clayton Schrader (Maret); and his adoring grandchildren, Mackenzie, Hunter, Izabella, Olivia, Charlotte, Abigail, and Cora. He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Crosby, who holds a special place in the hearts of his family.
Victor was known for his kind spirit, unwavering dedication to his family, and his warm, engaging presence. Throughout his life, he was a pillar of strength and a source of inspiration to all who knew him. His legacy of love and generosity resonates with those who had the privilege of sharing their lives with him, which will continue through his gifts shared by being a transplant hero.
A memorial service to celebrate Victor's life will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024, at 10:30 AM, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Salina, KS. The family invites all who knew Victor to join them in honoring his memory.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Midwest Transplant Network and the Ronald McDonald House.
Victor's memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, and his spirit will continue to inspire those who knew him. He will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
