
SALINA —Law enforcement authorities in Salina are investigating alleged child endangerment and have made an arrest.
Just after 10a.m. Monday, employees of Pilot Truck Stop, 1944 N. 9th in Salina, contacted police about a 2-year- old in the store without supervision, according to Salina Police Captain James Feldman.
A check of the area by employees could not locate any guardians. . Officers were able to identify and locate a possible guardian camping in the area. The person was identified as 41-year-old Jared Shirack. Police arrested Shirack on requested charges of Aggravated Endangerment of a Child and booked him into the Saline County Jail. The boy was placed into protective custody.
