City of Salina
Starting Tuesday, February 25 through Friday, February 28th, APAC Shears of Salina will engage in the City of Salina's annual ultrathin bonded asphalt surface (UBAS) project. This phase involves adjusting manholes in the areas previously surfaced as part of this ongoing maintenance effort.
Specifically, work will occur on 9th Street from Republic Avenue to Crawford Street, weather permitting.
Motorists can expect detours for safety purposes and are advised to either avoid these work zones completely or proceed with caution to ensure the safety of the work crews. This maintenance method has been beneficial across the State of Kansas, significantly extending the lifespan of numerous roads.
This work is part of the City of Salina’s 2024 UBAS maintenance project, fully funded at a total project cost of $642,400. Motorists' cooperation and understanding are appreciated to maintain road integrity and safety.
