December 13, 1947 ~ March 17, 2024

Donice Elaine Edgerton went to be with Jesus, surrounded by her family, in the early hours Sunday March 17th, 2024 at her home in Miltonvale.

Donice was born December 13, 1947, to Leo and Eleanor Meurisse, in Brookville, KS, where she grew up and graduated from Brookville High School in 1965.

Siblings:  RoseAnna Elam (Monte) and Lester Dale.

Donice married the love of her life, Ray on December 13, 1965.  Together they had 4 children:  Gary of Salina, Delisa Nelson (Rex) of Brookville, Daryl (Dana) of Brookville, and Deriece Fowler (Phil) of Miltonvale.  There are 21 grandchildren:  Cassandra Edgerton (Brett Windholz), Cody (Ashlynn), Derek, Tamra Davis, Dylan (Hayliegh Burkhart), Caden, Katrina (Austin Lambert), Nicholas (Kaitlyn), Elany Windholz (Jacob), Katelyn Edgerton, Dalen (Chloe Hulse), Alex (Jessica), Angela Primeaux (John), Nathan (Stashia), Logan, Kyle (Ashley), Jacey Comstock (Jacob), Teia Fowler, and Toby. 28 great grandchildren:  Halle Windholz, Ellah Windholz, Lyla Grace, Conner Taylor, Jimmie Taylor, Kyle (Jr) Taylor, Wyatt Davis, Gracynn Nelson, Chloe, Maisie Zimmerman, Charles Windholz, Harper, Ethan Pellerin, Emily Pellerin, Madi, AnnaMae Windholz, Asher, John Jr. Primeaux, Reece Primeaux, Jesse Fowler, Allie Fowler, Rylee Primeaux, Amara Primeaux, Maddi Fowler, Haven Fowler, Milli Primeaux, Ashe Fowler, Isaak Fowler

Before retiring Donice enjoyed being the office manager for Hearing Healthcare of Salina for more than 20 yrs. Donice also worked for Sears in Salina for 10 yrs.  

She was preceded in death by her parents (Eleanor & Leo), brother (Lester Dale), brother in law (Monte), son in law (Rex), grandson (Derek), and great grandchild (Jessie).

Visitation will be Friday from 4pm to 8pm, with family present from 5pm to 7pm. at the Ryan Mortuary, Salina. Funeral mass will be Saturday at 10am at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Salina, with burial following in Brookville at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
