A wind advisory is in effect today for some counties in our area.

The National Weather Service in Wichita has issued a wind advisory in effect until 7 p.m. Wednesday for the following counties in our area.

Northwest winds at 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph are expected.

Loose outdoor items will be blown around. Difficult driving conditions are expected, especially along north- and south-oriented roads. High-profile vehicles will also be affected. Caution on roadways is advised.
