Tampa - Alan L. Bentz, 67, died May 29, 2021 at Hillsboro Community Hospital in Hillsboro. He was born September 26, 1953 in Topeka to Otto and Frieda (Backhus) Bentz. He married Virginia Soukup October 11, 1975 in Marion.
Survivors include: mother Frieda Bentz of Tampa; wife Virginia Bentz of Tampa; daughter Cheri Bentz of Tampa; grandson Tyler Bentz of Tampa.
Funeral service 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at Jost Funeral Home in Hillsboro officiated by Rev. Clark M. Davis. Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial at St. John's Lutheran cemetery, rural Tampa.
