A local woman was injured in a single-vehicle wreck early Tuesday afternoon in central Salina.

Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said this morning that Angela Gonzalez, 44, of Salina, was westbound in the 300 block of Center Street in a 2014 Toyota Camry when she veered to the left, then overcorrected, went up over the right curb, and struck an Evergy utility pole.

The wreck occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Gonzalez suffered minor injuries and was transported by EMS to Salina Regional Health Center, Forrester said.

The Camry sustained extensive front-end damage and was towed from the scene.
