Saline County man arrested after alleged gun-firing incident

A rural Saline County man was arrested Sunday afternoon after an alleged incident involving the firing of a gun.

Saline County Sheriff Roger Soldan said this morning that deputies were called to the 400 block of East Water Well Road at 3:47 p.m. Sunday for the report of a subject firing a wepon. Timothy Rickman, 50, of rural Saline County, allegedly was upset with neighbors who were shooting fireworks and after a verbal altercation, went back to his home, retrieved a 9mm handgun, and threatened to kill the neighbors, Soldan said. Rickman then allegedly fired a shot, he added.

Additionally, when deputies arrived, Rickman allegedly was uncooperative, Soldan said.

Rickman was arrested on the following requested charges, Soldan said.

Obstruction/interference with a law enforcement officer

Aggravated assault

Criminal threat
