Marianne Joy Rudeen, 78, of McPherson, KS, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at Brookdale Senior Living, McPherson. She was a retired special education teacher and volunteered in the McPherson schools.
Marianne was born on May 14, 1943, in Upland, California, the daughter of Lenn Allen and Avas Ada (Lehman) Snellenberger. She graduated from Los Angeles Pacific College BA and MA (now Azusa Pacific University.)
She was united in marriage to Carroll Wayne Green on August 30, 1969, at Santa Barbara, CA. He preceded her in death on August 15, 2012. She married Alvin E. Rudeen on April 25, 2015, in McPherson, KS.
Marianne attended CrossPoint Church in Hutchinson, KS.
Survivors include: her husband, Al Rudeen of the home; four sons, Andrew Green (Rachel) of Hutchinson, KS, Garrick Green (Melinda) of McPherson, KS, Timothy Green of Redlands, CA, and Dennis Green of Depoe Bay, OR; two daughters, Denise Harris of Fort Collins, CO and Tamara Dachinger (David) of White Plains, NY; a sister, Elizabeth Lee (Bill) of Moraga, CA; sister-in-law, Mary Catherine Snellenberger of Thousand Oaks, CA; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, and brother, Edward Snellenberger.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, December 17, 2021, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with Rev. Dean Smidderks officiating. Burial will follow at McPherson Cemetery.
