Vehicles burglarized in expo center lot near Kenwood Cove

Three vehicles were broken into while they were parked on a Saline County Livestock and Expo Center lot near Kenwood Cove Saturday afternoon.

Sometime between 3-4:30 p.m. Saturday, someone broke a window on a 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix while it was parked in an Expo Center lot across from Kenwood Cove, Saline County Sheriff Roger Soldan said this morning.

The following items belonging to Sierra Hollis, 27, of Salina, and Melissa Dunn, 28, of Salina, were taken, Soldan said.

Cigarettes

A black purse with sparkles on it

A makeup bag

A wallet with various cards in it, including a driver's license, a Social Security card, and an insurance card

Apple AirPods

Sunglasses

Earrings

Total loss was estimated at $860, Soldan said.

Then, between 3-5:55 p.m., a window was broken on a 2017 Chevrolet Traverse belonging to Keri Russell, 37, of Ellsworth, while it was parked in the expo center lot, Soldan said. A fanny pack, some cigarettes, and a pocket knife were stolen from the SUV, Soldan said. Total loss was estimated at $340.

While the deputy was taking the report from Russell, Rebekah Dinning, 44, of Salina, reported that her 1997 Dodge Dakota pickup, which was not locked, was entered and the following items stolen while the pickup was parked in the expo center lot, Soldan said.
