UPDATE: Two quakes strike eastern Marion County Wednesday

UPDATE 12:05 p.m. Thursday: A second earthquake shook far eastern Marion County on Wednesday.

The 2.3 magnitude quake struck at 10:18 p.m. near the Marion County-Chase County line, according to the Kansas Geological Survey. The quake was centered just north of 220th Street between the county line and Clover Road.

MARION - A small earthquake rattled part of eastern Marion County Wednesday morning.

According to the Kansas Geological Survey, a 3.0 magnitude earthquake struck northeast of Marion at 10:21 a.m. Wednesday. It was centered just east of Bluestem Road at 230th Road.
