The Saline County Sheriff's Department is investigating after a section of fence was damaged in a vehicle hit-and-run that occurred the night of Halloween.
Saline County Sheriff Roger Soldan told Salina Post this morning that sometime between 5 p.m. on Oct. 31 and 8 a.m. on Nov. 1, a vehicle ran into and damaged a newly installed section of pipe fence located near the Saline County Livestock and Expo Center.
"All that was left at the scene was some white paint transfer we are assuming it is a white pickup truck, but we are not 100 % sure," Soldan said.
Preliminary damage estimates value the damage tot the fence at $6,000.
Salina Post will update this story when new information becomes available.
