Steven (Steve) Clair Henningsen, 70, died October 7, 2021. He was born September 13, 1951, in Salina, the son of Clair and Margaret (Neilson) Henningsen. He married Linda Fry on March 29, 1975, in the Central Christian Church, Belleville, Kansas. Steve was a Soil Conservationist for the Natural Resources Conservation Service. He was a community leader in his church, 4-H and was a volunteer for Access Television and the Rescue Mission. He was a lifelong fan of the Kansas City Royals baseball team.
Steve is preceded in death by his parents, a stepmother, Millie, and his sister, Ann Henningsen.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; his daughter, Kristi (Chuck) Hays, and his son, John Henningsen. He has three grandchildren, Stephanie, Cameo and Madison and 3 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday evening, October 11 from 6-8:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Foursquare Church. Family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Celebration of life will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at Emmanuel Foursquare Church, Salina. Burial will be at 2:00 pm in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Belleville, KS.
