SALINA, KS — Beginning Monday, September 16, and running through Friday, September 20, Davis Construction will continue concrete pavement repairs on several sections of Sunrise Drive in Salina, weather permitting. The scheduled work will involve pavement removal and replacement with new mixed concrete, with road closures expected but limited residential access allowed.

The affected sections include:

Sunrise, Beloit to Republic

Sunrise, Ellsworth to Beloit

Sunrise, South of Ellsworth

These repairs are part of the City of Salina's 2024 Minor Concrete – Pavement Repair annual maintenance project, with a total cost estimated at $80,000.

Motorists should expect moderate delays and are advised to avoid work zones when possible. As these repairs are near Heusner Elementary, drivers, particularly parents and students, are encouraged to find alternate routes during this time to minimize disruptions.

The city appreciates the public's patience as these improvements are made.
