Saline County: 37 new COVID-19 cases; 7,019 of 7,873 recovered

Following is the Saline County Health Department COVID-19 update for Friday.

●Salina Regional Health Center reports that they have 13 patients currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

●There have been 37 new cases of COVID-19 reported since Wednesday.

●KDHE has identified 239 variants in the 361 samples sent from Saline County for sequencing.

●The staff at the Saline County Health Department is currently monitoring 708 cases of COVID-19.

The CDC recently released the Coronavirus Self-Checker. It is an interactive clinical assessment tool that will assist individuals ages 13 and older, and parents and caregivers of children ages 2 to 12 on deciding when to seek testing or medical care if they suspect they or someone they know has contracted COVID-19 or has come into close contact with someone who has COVID-19.

The online, mobile-friendly tool asks a series of questions, and based on the user’s responses, provides recommended actions and resources.
