Agreements, budget, executive sessions on city agenda for Monday

Two agreements, the 2021 budget, and two executive session are among the items on the Salina City Commission agenda for Monday.

Because of the anticipated length of the meeting, the commissioners will convene at 2:30 p.m. Monday in room 107 of the City-County Building, 300 West Ash Street. A time for public comment is scheduled near the beginning of the meeting.

The meeting is to be telecast by Salina Media Connection on Cox Cable channel 20 or online at www.salinatv.org or at the City of Salina YouTube channel, https://www.youtube.com/cityofSalinaKansas.

The following two executive sessions are scheduled toward the end of the meeting.

An executive session to discuss with the city’s legal counsel the subject of legal considerations relating to administration of the environmental response action associated with pending litigation in U.S. District Court relating to the former Schilling Air Force Base environmental matter.

An executive session to discuss with legal counsel the subject of legal considerations relating to legal representation of the city in response to a notice of claim of a potential lawsuit filed by legal counsel for Melissa Fullen, Matthew Fullen and Beverly Fullen.

Other items on the city commission agenda for Monday include the following.

Consideration of Resolution No. 20-7837 authorizing the City Manager to enter into an agreement with Travelers Property & Casualty Co of America/The Travelers Indemnity Company for the renewal of the City’s Comprehensive Property/Casualty Insurance Program and with Lloyds of London for a property deductible buy down option.

A discussion of the agreement with Salina Media Connection

Consideration of an alternate bid for replacement of Quint Fire Apparatus

A discussion of the community forum format

A discussion of thr 2021 budget
