Pedestrian struck, cited after accident in south Salina

A Salina man was injured and cited after an SUV-pedestrian accident Thursday morning in south Salina.

Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester reported this morning that Christina Weber, 32, of Salina, was westbound in the 700 block of East Magnolia Road in a 2009 Ford Escape when a pedestrian identified as Julius Eaglefeather-Johnson, 28, of Salina, ran into the roadway and was struck by the SUV. The accident occurred at approximately 10:50 a.m. Thursday.

Witnesses reported that Eaglefeather-Johnson had been arguing with a female then took off running into the street and was struck, Forrester noted. Eaglefeather-Johnson was transported to SRHC with non-life-threatening injuries.

Eaglefeather-Johnson was cited for the following, Forrester reported.
