Jesus M. Flores Sr., 96, of Salina, died Friday, December 11, 2020. Mr. Flores was born in Silao, Guanajuato, Mexico. He moved to Salina in 1961 and settled to raise his family.

Jesus Flores enjoyed going for walks around the neighborhood, visiting old friends or making time to get to know new faces he encountered along the way. We remember his warm smile and gentle wave as he continued on his way.

Survivors include his son, Jesus Flores Jr. (Stacy Rowland); daughter, Maria Elena Duran (Ignacio); and three grandchildren, Taylor James LaFleur, Salina, Maria Gabrielle Flores, Carl Junction, Mo., and Alejandro Jesus Duran, Salina.

He was preceded in death by this wife, Maria Carmen Flores, and his grandson, Casey Scott LaFleur.

A private burial will be in All Saints Catholic Cemetery, Salina. Ryan Mortuary, Salina, is handling arrangements.
