In 1992, late night severe thunderstorms struck north-central and northeast Kansas with 60 to 110 mph winds.
Hardest hit was Concordia, where a peak 1 minute speed of 108 mph was measured at Blosser Airport. Sustained speeds exceeded 60 mph for an incredible 20 minutes.
The destructive winds caused around $25 million damage. Six people were injured.
