Joan Lundberg Kern
November 3, 1929 ~ November 12, 2023

Joan Lundberg Kern, 94, of Marquette, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, November 12, 2023, at Riverview with loving caregivers at her bedside. Joan was born November 3, 1929, in New Gotland, KS, at her Aunt Edna’s farm, to Ed and Virginia (Johnston) Lundberg.

She is loved and missed by her daughter Stephanie Wiley, son-in-law Bill, grandson Brooke, dear sister Joyce DaCosta, precious friends and cousins. Joan and Joyce’s sister, Marlene Burriss, passed away in 2018. Joan’s nieces and nephews remember Aunt Jo’s kindness and humor.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 4, 2023, at Elim Lutheran Church, 403 N. Lincoln St., Marquette, KS. Friend and Pastor to Joan – Amy Kay Pavlovich – will be officiating. Lunch and fellowship will be immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Elim Lutheran Church, Marquette EMS, or the co-op working to keep the local grocery store “Pipers” up and running – Wolverine Fine Foods, Inc. Memorials may be sent in care of Crick- Christians Funeral Home, 103 N. Washington, Lindsborg, KS 67456.
