The Arts Committee of Christ Cathedral in Salina announces the theme and featured artists for its annual Lenten Art Exhibit that opens in early February 2026.

First launched in 2023–24, the cathedral’s annual Lenten Art Exhibit encourages art lovers to experience original work centered around a faith-inspired theme.

Now in its third year, the theme for this year’s exhibit is “Holiness In Our Midst,” inviting each artist to interpret and depict holiness as they see it in history or in everyday life.

The 12 featured artists for the exhibit come from eight Kansas communities:

Mary Binford-Miller, oil, El Dorado

Cary Brinegar, oil, Salina

Dale Cole, photography, Salina

Terri Horner, sculpture, Great Bend

John Keeling, watercolor, Kansas City

Marcia Kenley, pastel, Overland Park

Charlotte Martin, pastel/charcoal/acrylic, Wichita

Jennifer Schermerhorn, fiber art, Wamego

DeAnna Skedel, eco print with collage, Kansas City

Barbara Waterman-Peters, oil, Topeka

Rodney Wood, oil, Wichita

Ernest Vincent Wood III, oil, Wichita

“Holiness In Our Midst” runs Friday, February 6 through Tuesday, March 31 with viewing by advance reservation only, each Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 am to 2 pm, plus Thursdays from 5 to 6:30 pm.

Docents will be available to share information and the exhibit’s printed catalog. The exhibit can be viewed during 10 am Sunday services at Christ Cathedral, (138 S. Eighth Street) from February 6 to March 31.

The exhibit also will be open for Salina’s February 6 and March 6 First Friday Art Walks.

The exhibit is free admission.
