A victim feeling threatened by a domestic incident results in the arrest of a Salina man.
According to the Salina Police Department on May 30 at 11:30 pm, officers were dispatched to a home in central Salina in reference to a domestic disturbance.
Upon arrival, officers came in contact with a 21-year old female who reported a physical disturbance had occurred between a known male associate who lives at the residence.
Jose Valenzuela-Montoya (37) reportedly forcibly took her phone when she was attempting to call law enforcement, due to her feeling threatened by an argument.
SPD stated Valenzuela-Montoya left the residence afterwards, but came back when officers were present.
Officers then took him into custody for Domestic Battery and Robbery.
