On Monday, September 11th, Lancaster Construction of Salina began removing and replacing the pavement at the intersection of Republic and Funston/Sheridan. Until the work is completed Republic, Funston, and Sheridan will be closed to through traffic at the intersections nearest to the work site.
During construction motorists are encouraged to plan alternate routes and allow a little more time to reach their destinations. Weather permitting, the work should be completed in three weeks.
The $60,000 project is a remnant of the City of Salina's $4.7 million 2022 street maintenance capital improvement program.
