Police: Car damaged while parked at south Salina store

Police are investigating damage done to a car while it was parked at a south Salina store Tuesday night.

Tammy Wilks, 59, of Salina, told police that her 2004 Pontiac Grand Am was damaged while it was parked at Goodwill, 2640 Planet Avenue, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester reported this morning. Wilks said she believed the car was damaged between 9-10 p.m. Tuesday.

The car had swirl scratches in the paint on the passenger side door. Wilks also reported that one of her tires had screws in it. The tire had been fixed prior to the officer’s arrival, Forrester explained.

Total damage was estimated at $1,650.
