Rachel Nicole (Webb) Morsett
June 28, 1988 ~ March 21, 2024

Rachel Nicole (Webb) Morsett, 35, of Ottawa, KS died Thursday, March 21, 2024 at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.

She was born June 28, 1988 in Shawnee, Kansas the daughter of Kenneth and Kandy (Uhlig) Webb.  Growing up, she was a daddy’s girl, and she loved going on truck rides with her dad.  She was the cheer captain at Ottawa High School graduating with the class of 2006.  She also attended Neosho County Community College.

On October 20, 2012, Rachel was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Shawn Morsett at North Baptist Church in Ottawa, Kansas.

Rachel was the owner of Sunday Morning Boutique in Ottawa, KS from 2018 to 2022.  She was also a realtor for Keller-Williams and did mortgage lending through Great Southern State Bank and Arvest Bank.  Her main profession for the last eleven years was homemaker and mom.  She loved and adored her children and was grateful for the opportunity to raise them.

She was very confident, lived loud, and was unafraid to speak out.  She knew what she wanted, and when she set her mind on something, she was determined to see it through.  Rachel was also selfless.  Throughout her fight with cancer she often was more concerned for the toll it took on her loved ones than the toll it took on her.

She is survived by her husband, Shawn Morsett, two daughters, Vanessa and Audrey Morsett, and a son, Heath Morsett of the home; her parents, Kandy and Kenneth Webb of Houston, TX; second set of parents, Ron and Marcie Morsett of Ottawa, KS; a sister, Pennie Webb and her husband, Dillon DeVoe, of Kansas City, MO; a brother, Aaron Huston and his wife, Emily Law, of Brooklyn, NY; and numerous other extended family.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 30, 2024 at the Fredrikson Chapel, Ottawa, KS.  Rachel lived out loud, so please feel free to dress in bright colors to celebrate her brilliant personality.  To celebrate Rachel’s life, a visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2024 at Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, 325 S. Hickory St, Ottawa, KS 66067.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Morsett Children’s Education Fund and sent c/o Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, P.O. Box 14, Ottawa, KS 66067.
