Rainfall dampens much of the area

Rainfall was more plentiful in the southern part of our area as a slow-moving storm system moves up from the south, bringing with it much-needed moisture.

Additional heavy rainfall is expected today through this evening across central and eastern Kansas, according to the National Weather Service. 

At the Salina Regional Airport, 0.44 of an inch was reported by 7 a.m. Tuesday.
