A water line supplying an outdoor hose bib froze and burst Tuesday night in an office adjacent to the band room at Salina Central High School.
The break resulted in water spreading to multiple areas of the school, including the band room, instrument room, stagecraft area, and practice rooms.
According to USD 305 Communications Director Jennifer Camien, students and staff responded swiftly and worked together to clean up the affected spaces.
Salina Central High School administrators are currently assessing the extent of the damage and taking steps to ensure the impacted areas are restored as soon as possible.
Salina Central Mustangs Theatre Troupe 639's production of Hadestown: Teen Edition by Anaïs Mitchell will continue as planned on Thursday, January 30, Friday, January 31, and Saturday, February 1, at 7:00 p.m. Performances will take place at the Central High School Auditorium.
