
Robert N. Davis 2/16/37-7/6/21 Salina, Ks
Bob grew up in Lawrence, KS where he became a solid Rock Chalk Jayhawk! He then went on to join the Air Force. He was stationed in Salina (Schilling) as an air traffic controller. After service, he became an electrician.
He was owner of AAA Electric as well as being a Master Electrician for the Electrical Union. He was also Sr Project Manager for Citadel Electric which included projects such as building the Russell Stover Plant in Abilene and many jobs at Ft. Riley for the Army Corps of Engineering. His favorite was the 1st Division Headquarters of the U.S. Army, Ft. Riley. Bob took pride in safety and never lost a crew member.
Bob was an active member for the Elks Lodge where he was promoted to Exalted Ruler. He served as golf course Superintendent for the Elks (Great Life) transforming the grounds to a beautiful green oasis!
Avid golfer proudly reporting 3 holes in one! Two of which he achieved after age 80 with his final hole in one while golfing with his 3 grandsons Tanner, Dylon, and Sam at the age of 82!
Loved ones that will miss him include his wife, Andrea Davis, daughters: Debra Davis,Bobbi (Mike) Mull, Pamela (Dan) Collins, Stacy (Jason) Klein, Anna (Rod) Smith, Cynthia (Jeremy) Halpain, Rene (Patrick) Parker, brother Larry (Barbara) Brizendine, sister Stella Lambert. He also is a beloved grandfather of 22, and 19 great grandchildren as well as countless “adopted children,” relatives, and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Geneva Davis, wife Ann Davis, and son Jon Gonzales.
Celebration of life will be July 17, 10:30 am at St. John's Missionary Baptist Church, dinner following. Feel free to wear KU, Chiefs, Royals in his memory.
