March 14, 1948 - April 9, 2022

Hillsboro - James Dale Hadley, 74, passed away April 9, 2022 at his residence. He was born on March 14, 1948, the youngest child of Dale and Gwendola (Conrad) Hadley.

When Jim was in the second grade, the family moved to Manhattan. He attended Manhattan schools and graduated in 1966.

Soon after graduation, he moved to Hillsboro with his family and worked at Paul and Ray's Supermarket before moving to Topeka, where he worked in the supply room at Stormont Vail Hospital.

There in Topeka, he met and married Diana Kistner on October 11, 1970. To this union they were blessed with two daughters, Tami and Laurie.

In 1972, Jim and Diana moved back to Hillsboro and Jim worked at Hillsboro Ford for 42 years. He was always a Ford man.

Jim was a very kind and caring man, and his family was always his main priority and love.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father.

Survivors include his wife Diana, of 51 years, daughters Tami Hadley of Newton and Laurie Morales-Diaz (Mike) of Manhattan, two granddaughters, Ianni and Aiyanna Morales-Diaz of Manhattan, brother Pearl Hadley (Velma) of Hillsboro, sister Joyce Steele of Moscow, Idaho, sister-in-law Trudy Bowen (Charley) of Rogersville, Missouri and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside service 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 18, 2022 at Gnadenau Cemetery two miles south of Hillsboro. Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday at Jost Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
