Peggy Ann Gottschalk, 68, of Salina, passed away Friday, November 12, 2021. She was born February 24, 1953, in Salina, KS.
She worked as a child care provider for 35 years.
There wasn’t a person that Peggy didn’t befriend and help to the best of her ability. She was very invested in the Salina community, and she offered her time and talents to families, children, and the elderly. Her hobbies included antiquing, hunting and fishing in her younger years. She doted on her grandchildren. Peggy also loved turtles and passed that passion along to her daycare kids. She was a member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary and a lifelong supporter of Salina Central High School.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charles Dean and Dorothy E. (Schrader) Bethe, and brothers Perry J. Bethe, Dennis Bethe.
Survivors include her children Garrett Alan Gottschalk (Emily), Megan Ann Standefer (Ryan); grandchildren Willa Standefer (6), Henry Standefer (6), Audrey Standefer (3), Louis Gottschalk (1); sister Donna Kay Murnen; and by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m., Friday, November 19, 2021, at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 East Crawford, Salina.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 20, 2021, at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 E. Crawford, Salina. Burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park.
