UPDATE: Small quakes rattle part of southern Saline County Monday

UPDATE 2 p.m. Monday: A second small earthquake has rattled part of southern Saline County Monday afternoon, this time several miles northeast of the first.

The 2.4 magnitude quake struck at 1:06 p.m. Monday southeast of Gypsum, according to the Kansas Geological Survey. It was centered east of S. Cunningham Road between E. Lapsley Road and E. Hedberg Road.

BRIDGEPORT - A small earthquake struck far southern Saline County early Monday afternoon.

According to the Kansas Geological Survey, a 2.2 magnitude earthquake struck at 12:21 p.m. Monday east-southeast of Bridgeport. The quake was centered south of E. Rose Hill Road between S. Woodward Road and S. Simpson Road.
