CONCORDIA -- Week two of the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Cross Country Runner of the Week Awards have been swept by T-Bird Runners as sophomores Habtamu Geta and Patricia Koma have both been honored by the conference.

The award marks the second straight week that Geta takes home KJCCC Runner of the Week honors after winning his second straight individual title with a race win at the Ollie Isom Invitational (23:24.48). Koma earned her first individual victory of the season at the Ollie Isom Invitational by posting a 5K time of 19:50.42 to finish six seconds ahead of the second-place finisher while helping CCCC to their second-straight team victory in as many weeks.

Cloud County has now had three KJCCC Runners of the Week and one NJCAA National Runner of the Week on the year and will be off this weekend before returning to action on Sept. 26 at the Tabor College Cottonwood Challenge in Newton.
