Ngoc Mai Thi Le “Mai Le”, 52, of McPherson, KS, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 14, 2022, surrounded by family at Via Christi St. Francis RMC in Wichita, KS.
Mai Le worked in food service at the McPherson Middle School.
Mai Le was born on July 26, 1970, in Vinh Long, Vietnam, the daughter of Huong Le and Ba Nguyen.
In 1999, Mai Le was united in marriage to Hoc Tran in Fort Worth, TX.
Survivors include her loving husband Hoc Tran of the home; five children, Anh Tran (Braxton Wheeler) of Salina, KS, Christina Tran (Parker Simon) of Kansas City, MO, Tyler Tran of Lawrence, KS, Dao Tran-Reilly (Mat Reilly) of Austin, TX, and Sally Tran (Kevin Bruner) of Manhattan, KS; grandchildren Gemma Keller of Salina, KS and Kloee Tran of Austin, TX; parents Huong Le and Ba Nguyen of New Orleans, LA; siblings Kiet Le of New Orleans, LA, Van Le of Vietnam, Thuy Le of San Jose, CA, and Kieu Le of New Orleans, LA; and many extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Khanh Le.
The family will receive friends from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 20, 2022, at Stockham Family Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at McPherson Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be payable to Hoc Tran for the benefit of children/grandchildren’s education fund in care of Stockham Family Funeral Home, 205 North Chestnut, McPherson, KS 67460.
