YORK, Neb. - Kansas Wesleyan competitive dance placed 14th at Friday night's York Crown Classic inside York University's Freeman Center.
The Coyotes posted a score of 66.13 at the event and were just edged out by Northwestern College. KWU was less than five points away from a Top 10 finish in the event.
Friday's Crown Classic featured five teams that qualified for the NAIA National Championships last season, including defending National Champion Saint Ambrose (Iowa).
Saint Ambrose was the winner with a score of 92.97. Doane was second with 84.07, Concordia was third with 83.77, Oklahoma City was fourth with 83.03 and Morningside was fifth with 81.87 to round out the Top 5 teams.
Up next for the Coyotes will be the Bethel Invitational next Saturday in North Newton.
