A Salina man was arrested for a warrant and being intoxicated at the Freddy's restaurant drive-thru.
According to the Salina Police Department (SPD), officers were dispatched to Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers on S. 9th for the report of an intoxicated man inside a vehicle at the drive-thru
Officers were able to identify the driver as Eric Lawson (48). He refused to exit the vehicle after being advised he was under arrest.
Lawson was then removed from the vehicle and struggle ensued between him and the officers. A taser was deployed onto Lawson and was then body wrapped, before he was successfully taken into custody.
Lawson was transported to Salina Regional Health Center, where he was cleared for confinement. He was then booked into the Saline County Jail for the requested charges of:
DUI, Interference with Law Enforcement, Driving While Suspended and a Saline County District Court warrant for Contempt of Court.
