The Saline County Sheriff's Office is investigating the theft of parts from a cultivator parked on property in the far northeastern part of the county.
Saline County Sheriff Roger Soldan said this morning that sometime prior to Sept. 13, someone took two hydraulic cylinders from a Great Plains brand field cultivator that was parked on property in the 5800 block of North Amos Road.
The 86-year-old Solomon man who owns the cultivator told a deputy on Sunday morning that the theft was noticed on approximately Sept. 13 by the person who farms his land for him, Soldan said.
The estimated loss is $2,000, he added.
