UPDATE 8:30 a.m. Saturday: Scattered storms with heavy rainfall will continue build across the area this morning, according to the National Weather Service.
The strongest storms may produce gusty winds to around 50 mph and small hail in addition to heavy rain. Heavy rain may aggravate ongoing flooding problems across southeast Kansas.
