ohn Lawrence Weishaar, 79, of Salina, passed away Friday, January 20th, 2023.
John was born in Gem, Kansas on March 16, 1943, a son of Mary Agnes (Ryan) and Harry Joseph Weishaar.
He married Sheryl Thompson on September 5, 1964 in Salina, Kansas.
He worked as the transportation manager at Solomon Corporation for over 30 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Pam Weishaar of Salina, Kansas, Debbie O'Brien (Kelly) of Wichita, Kansas; son Jeff Weishaar (Deb) of Phillipsburg, Kansas; grandchildren Adam, Alec, Alyse (Ryan), Annie, Morgan, Nathan, Lauryn, and Isaac.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Sheryl Weishaar; siblings Joan Martz, Don Weishaar, Bob Weishaar, and Bill Weishaar.
Visitation will be on Friday, January 27th, from 1:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, with family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 28th at Carlson - Geisendorf Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Brooks officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Donations may be made to the Salina Animal Shelter or Autism Speaks, in care of the funeral home.
