Charles “CE” Ford, 85, of Newton Kansas, went to be with the Lord on March 6th, 2023.
Charlie was born August 3, 1937, to Charles E. and Rose “Crandall” Ford in Marion County.
After high school, Charlie enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Then after discharge, moved to Marion, KS, where he married and raised two sons. Charlie worked for the Rainbow Bread company and delivered bread throughout Marion County and was well known, liked and respected.
In 1976, the family moved to Newton, where Charlie worked for Excel Industries and Hesston Corporation, in Hesston, Kansas.
Charlie enjoyed construction, woodworking, and after retirement helped many friends and family with multiple projects. Charlie also worked part time at Kropf Lumber in Hesston, Kansas.
During his retirement, he became a passionate lover of cats and would ensure that the neighborhood cats had food and shelter when needed.
Charlie was a loving father, husband, brother, and son. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, a strong work ethic, loyalty, honesty, dedication, and perseverance.
Charlie is survived by his wife Pat “Dirks” Ford, Hillsboro, KS, sons Lawrence Ray Ford and Roger Dale Ford, brother Duane “Keith” Ford and wife Jenni, Orange Park, FL, stepdaughters Colleen and her husband Doug Weinbrenner, Hillsboro KS, Sheri Wilson and her wife Sue Varian, as well as many grandchildren and great-grand children
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Rose Ford, and infant sister.

Due to Charlie’s wishes, his body will be cremated, and no memorial service held.

Charlie will truly be missed by his family and friends.
