Helen Faye Rogers , 83, was born on November 8, 1940 in Missouri and passed away peacefully on September 27, 2024 in Salina, Kansas. She was the daughter of George and Mary Opal Rogers and lived in Salina since early childhood.
Helen is survived by her son, Mike Pitts, daughter, Paula Harapat, son-in-law Chris Harapat and grandchildren Tyler Pitts, Chance Harapat, Levi Harapat, and Brandon Harapat. Helen is also survived by her brother, Charles Rogers(Karen), former brother-in law Ken Pitts(Laurie) and several nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, ex-husband, Max Pitts and sister-in-law Anita Rogers.
Helen’s faith in God was central to her life, and she was deeply devoted to her Christian beliefs. She had a passion for sewing, reading the bible and playing the piano and was known for her remarkable skills on the softball field during her younger years.
Professionally, Helen worked as a secretary for many years, where she made a lasting impression on colleagues and friends. She touched the lives of many with her outspoken nature, feisty spirit and strong sense of faith.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers at Pinnacle Park for their long-term care and Gentiva Hospice for their compassionate care and support in Helen's final days. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, November 9, 2024, 11:00 AM at Roselawn Memorial Heights Chapel in Salina, KS, with Sr. Pastor Blaine Herron officiating. Entombment will follow at Williamsburg Mausoleum in Salina, KS.
