On Friday at 3:33 p.m., a 79-year-old Salina resident reported her red 2004 GMC Envoy missing to the Salina Police Department.
SPD officers reported the incident at the 1100 block of Gypsum Avenue, where the victim said that a friend was watching her home while she traveled outside of Salina.
"The friend came over to her house and noticed the car was gone," said SPD Sergeant Kyle Tonniges. "After contacting the victim, the friend realized it had been stolen."
Tonniges said the vehicle was likely stolen between 12:07 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 9 and 4:25 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 10. The Envoy's estimated value is $4,100.
SPD is still investigating the vehicle theft and no suspects have been named.
