He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Patricia Korb; his sisters, Gayna(John) Schoenrock, Cindy (Dean) Adamson; his children, Jason (Erin) Korb, Kevin (Crissy) Korb, Heidi (Kevin) McDonald, and Kelli Carrazco; his grandchildren, Tyler (Jordan) Korb, Zaide (Rylee) Korb, Caitlyn(Nick) Sanders, Chase Korb, Izzy Rivera, Jacob (Becca) Pyeatt, Casey (Keegan) Pyeatt, Allison (Connor) Korb, Shawn (Jaden) Pyeatt, Kaden Korb, Kody Korb, Jadynne Smith, Deacon (Annabelle) McDonald, Damon McDonald, Kinzi McDonald, Devin Slate, Dylan Shomaker, Christiana(Jesus) Lachica, Christian (Elissa) Carrazco, Noah (Aubrey) Carrazco and Nakai McMiller; and his great-grandchildren, Isla Korb, Isai Lachica, Adalia Lachica, Sayid Lachica and Salvador Carrazco.
Barry proudly served his country for more than 20 years in the National Guard, a commitment that reflected his strong sense of duty, service, and patriotism. Throughout his life, he was always willing to lend a hand, quietly helping wherever he saw a need. Acts of service were not something Barry talked about, they were how he lived.
A man of Christian faith, Barry trusted in the Lord and lived his life guided by biblical values. He was devoted to his family and found great joy in the generations that followed him. He will be remembered for his humble heart, and unwavering love for those around him.
In his quieter moments, Barry enjoyed collecting brass items as well as swords and knives, interests that reflected both his appreciation for craftsmanship and history.
While his passing leaves a great void in the lives of those who loved him, we rejoice in the promise of eternal life and take comfort knowing Barry is now at peace, reunited with loved ones, and resting in the presence of his Savior.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 10, 11:00 AM, at CrossPoint Church in Salina.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to CrossPoint Church, 621 Westport Blvd, Salina KS, in Barry’s memory.
