Nina Beals, 99 died November 16, 2020 in Little River, KS. She was born on August 22, 1921 in Miltonvale, KS the daughter of John and Edith (Hutcheson) Springsted. Nina was raised the Miltonvale community. She taught school following high school graduation and normal training. On August 24, 1941, Nina married Walter Beals. They made their home in Miltonvale where she worked as the city clerk. In 1972, they moved to McPherson and Nina worked for JC Penny, retiring in 1985. Walter and Nina moved to Clay Center in 1988. Walter preceded her in death on October 30, 1995. She was a former member of the Clay Center Wesleyan Church and active in the Wesleyan Missionary Group. She was also preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter, Beverly, and four sisters
