Edmond “Ed” D. Gaumond, 43, of Chapman, passed away Monday, April 4, 2021. He was born August 30, 1977 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of Edmond W. Gaumond and stepmother Jennifer Gaumond.
In 1998 he enlisted in the United States Army. He retired from the Army in 2017, serving 19 years 9 months. On February 13, 2015, he was united in marriage to Amanda Parrish in Abilene, Kansas. Ed was a member of the Chapman American Legion Post 240.
He is survived by his loving wife Amanda of the home. Children: Adam Gaumond (Vicky); Eddie Gaumond (Samantha); Benjamin Gaumond; Mia Guamond; Hope Gaumond; Catherine Mitchell; and April Mitchell. Grandchildren: Effie Austin; Daxon Gaumond; Edmond Gaumond; and Owen Gaumond. His dad and stepmother, Edmond and Jennifer Gaumond. Stepbrothers, Sean Lee and Justin Lee and his mother-in-law, Kerry Ware. He was preceded in death by his mother, Darlene.
The family has chosen cremation. A celebration of life service with military honors will be held 1:00 p.m.., Friday, April 9, 2021 at Londeen-Overlease Funeral Chapel in Chapman.
The family suggests memorials be given the Chapman American Legion Post 240. Memorials may be dropped off or mailed to Londeen-Overlease Funeral Chapel, PO Box 411, Chapman, Kansas 67431.
