Jerry Lee Hickel, 64, passed away on August 31, 2023 at 9:57 AM at 464 Maple Ave. in Salina, KS.
Jerry was born on June 17, 1959 in Salina, KS to parents Edward and Lois Elliott Hickel.
Jerry served in the US Navy.
He liked watching westerns and Hallmark when he was not at work. He enjoyed woodworking and built many things for family and friends. He took great pride in his yard and kept it immaculate. He loved the Holiday's and spending time with all the grandkids. He was a quiet gentle man but stern and we knew he loved us all. We will miss him dearly as he was a great son, dad, granddad (papa to the grandkids), great-granddad, brother and friend.
Jerry was working at Menards in the Shipping and Receiving Department.

Jerry is survived by: Children Christina Wilkinson of Salina, KS, Jerry Hickel of Bethesda, MD; Others: Jim Hickel (Brother) and spouse Carol of Gardner, KS, Tammy Bowers (Sister) and spouse Bill, Occean Hickel (Granddaughter) of Wichita, KS, Dakotta Hickel (Grandson) of Salina, KS, Tristton Middaugh Tracy (Grandson) and spouse Kelsie of Lawrence, KS, Ambrosee Wilkinson (Grandson) and spouse Jillian, Felicia Draper (Granddaughter) , James Draper (Grandson) , Brian Smith (Grandson) Emma Reddell (Great-Granddaughter) of Wichita, KS, William Reddell (Great-Grandson) of Wichita, KS, Eleanor Middaugh Tracy (Great-Granddaughter).
Visitation will be on Friday, September 15, 2023 from 5 - 7 PM at Roselawn Memorial Heights Chapel, 1920 E. Crawford Salina, KS 67401. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 16, 2023, 10:30 AM at Roselawn Memorial Heights Chapel in Salina, KS. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Salina, KS.
